Hi!

The MovieFest movies are all in, and the organisers and selections
team have picked the best to show around the country. Hitting the
big screen near you are the regional finalists in MovieFest 2006, New
Zealands' best amateur only digital short movie competition. We've
selected 9 movies in our three categories that we think you need to
see, and this weekend is the big regional finals weekend, with
viewers choice prizes up for grabs.

Sponsored by Panavision New Zealand, and supported by Amstore,
MagnumMac, Imaging Technology and Renaissance Apple Division - we are
holding screenings in Wellington, Auckland, Napier, Gisborne,
Hamilton, Nelson, Christchurch and more. Starting the screenings,
Gisborne, the first to see the sun, saw the best of the Central and
Northern Regions today in packed sessions.

School children were seen streaming in the gates (wagging school no-
doubt) to Gisborne Boys High to catch a glimpse of the talent behind
"Horror 101" and catch their first look at "The Bag Egg" by Nitro Jr.
and see the real reason behind our shocking [sic] teaching standards
in "The Teachers Code".

This afternoon hit it off, but it was only the start. Yet to be seen
on the big screen are the parkour inspired movie "Overslept" and the
memory enhancing "Wedding Week" and i'm sure you want to know why
"Tomatoes don't grow on trees". With over 40 short 3-5 minutes long
movies - there's plenty to keep you entertained and talking.

To catch some of the action, find a screening near you. Details of
screenings on Saturday and Sunday are on the MovieFest website - and
if you really want to run one near you - let the team know:

If you miss this weekend, keep an eye out for online streaming,
movies for your iPod, cellphone and of course book in 30th September
on your calendar for the big Grand Final and festival in Wellington.
With 1000s of dollars in prizes up for grabs you'll want to be there.

Best regards from 'sunny' Wellington, home of MovieFest headquarters,
movie making capital of the world. I'll see some of you in Hamilton
tomorrow, and Wellington on Sunday!
