MovieFest 2008 :: NZ First Digital Short Movie Competition
MovieFest movies!

What is MovieFest?

The aim of the MovieFest competition is to encourage the movie makers of New Zealand and to promote and showcase the talent New Zealand has to offer.

MovieFest 2008 is the 5th of the nationwide digital short movie competitions that MovieFest have run in New Zealand since 2003. A Charitable Trust was formed in 2005 to assist in fulfilling our wider goals and runs the competition, assisted by a team of volunteers, judges and professionals.

By focusing the competition primarily at upcoming movie-makers in categories of Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Hobbyists, we try to encourage the development of NZ movie making talent by providing resources and facilitating help and advice from professionals experienced in their field.

We're all about assisting in the development of New Zealand's creative movie-makers and exposing them to the nation at large.

If you're a seasoned Movie-maker, then we'd encourage you to 'give back' and get involved - either by entering yourself - or by helping a team - Pop over to the Discussions email List or the Forums and join in!
